Act Shrewdly

Act Shrewdly

“And the master commended the dishonest Manager because he acted shrewdly.” Jesus goes on to lament that the children of light don’t act shrewdly enough. We are disciples; children of light. We have said, Jesus I’m all in for you! We are to act shrewdly and invest ourselves in the Kingdom. God will ask us, give me an accounting of your management, prepare a full account of your stewardship, Today Jesus speaks of the account of our money in the Gospel. A disciple doesn’t ask how much do I HAVE to give but rather how much do I need to keep. But today I want to talk about how we as a parish invest in the
Kingdom of God. Alpha is our main strategy of proclaiming the Good News to those who have not heard it. If we step out in faith and invite people to Alpha, it is a real investment in the Kingdom. It’s a way to open the door for others to hear the Good News. Jesus wants us to act shrewdly in our discipleship. He wants us to invest ourselves in our Heavenly future so that our Master will receive us into his eternal
home.
