Born at 10:30 on a Sunday morning into a Lutheran family in Coquitlam, BC, Joanne cherishes the many church families into which she has been welcomed. She started worshiping at Holy Trinity Parish in November 2023 and joined the HTP Staff in November 2024; she is very grateful for the opportunity to serve and grow with us!
Completing her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University, she has enjoyed serving as a missionary with Catholic Christian Outreach, teacher and headmistress at Our Lady of Schools, international mission trips coordinator with Chalice Canada, and administrative assistant with the Sisters of Charity. Currently, she also works with the Atlantic Provinces Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Network (APPHON) at the IWK Children’s Hospital. With over 15 years of leadership and administrative experience in nonprofits, Joanne comes alive while supporting a team to do its best.
Moving to Nova Scotia in 1989 and raised by family on both our west and east coasts, she’s also enthusiastic about traveling across this beautiful country – most recently in the summer of 2023 with her sister, dog, cat, truck and camper!
