As the weather starts to get cold, the Knights of Columbus, Sackville Council 7077 heat up their commitment to the community with free winter coat distributions for children in our area.
Today, fourteen percent of Canadian children live in poverty. As a result, many families cannot afford to provide even the basic necessity of a warm winter coat.
Putting their faith into action, Knights of Columbus councils have handed out more than one million coats to children throughout the United States and Canada through the Coats for Kids program.
Knights will be in the foyer before and after Masses next weekend on August 31 and September 1, 2024, accepting donations to help purchase coats. A donation of $20 will purchase one winter coat for a child, however any amount of donation will gladly be accepted. Donations may be made with cash and debit/credit.
