Jubilee of Evangelization – This Weekend!
Join us as we celebrate the Jubilee of Evangelization this weekend! This special time invites us to renew our call to share the Good News with joy and courage. Through prayer, reflection, and community, we give thanks for the gift of faith and the mission entrusted to each of us to bring Christ’s love to the world. Let us come together in thanksgiving, hope, and the Spirit of renewal as we continue to live out our baptismal call to be missionary disciples.

Ministry Spotlight
Holy Trinity Parish is blessed with so many amazing ministries and teams all working together to serve our parish and carry out the mission of Jesus. This week, we’re excited to feature our Care & Companionship Ministry Team and our Liturgical Ministry. Teams as consideration of where God might be calling you to serve! Our Ministry of Care and Companionship reaches out to parishioners who are unable to attend Mass due to age, illness, or other health-related challenges. We bring them the gift of the Eucharist, share meaningful conversation, offer prayer and scripture, and walk with them through life’s transitions — including grief and funeral planning — with compassion and care.
There are many meaningful ways to get involved, especially if you feel called to spend time with our homebound parishioners. If this speaks to your heart, we invite you to come to a “Come and See” gathering. It’s a relaxed way to learn more, meet others, and see if this ministry is a good fit for you. The time commitment can vary based on your availability and interests. For more information, feel free to reach out to Debbie or Liz at care-companionship@holytrinityns.ca  — we’d love to hear from you!

Share Your Love for the Mass – Join a Liturgical Ministry!
Do you feel a deep love for the Mass and a desire to serve our parish in a meaningful way? We invite you to consider sharing your gifts by joining one of our Liturgical Ministries. Each role plays an important part in helping our community worship with reverence, beauty, and grace.

Readers (Lectors) – Proclaim the Word of God with clarity and conviction, helping bring Scripture to life for the assembly.
Altar Servers – Support the liturgy with attentiveness and care, ensuring the Mass flows with reverence, calm, and order.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – Offer the Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful with humility and devotion.
Sacristans – Work behind the scenes to prepare the sacred vessels and everything needed for a smooth and prayerful celebration of the Mass.

Whether you’re drawn to serving visibly or prefer to work quietly in the background, there’s a place for you. Training and support will be provided for each role. If you’re interested or would like to learn more, please contact Catherine at  liturgy@holytrinity.ca. We would love to help you discern where your gifts might be best shared in our parish liturgy.

New Adult Faith Formation Opportunity!  – The Lions of the Church: Meeting the Popes from Pope Leo I to Leo XIV
On May 8, 2025, Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected to the papacy and took the name Leo XIV. But who were the other thirteen popes who held that name before him? Through doctrine, authority, courage, and a couple missteps, the legacy of these Lions of the Church comes down to us today in matters both religious and secular. This course will look at the theology, history, personalities, and legacy of the Leonine popes as we pray for our current Holy Father who bears their name!

This 6-week course is led by Faith Formation Coordinator Alex Craven and is open to all who wish to enroll. Sessions run from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at St. John Vianney in the main church space on the following Monday evenings: October 20, October 27, November 3, November 10, November 17, & Nov 24. A requested donation of $10 is asked to cover some of the materials provided throughout. Register to join us by clicking HERE or email Alex Craven.

Thank You For Attending Our Rosary Procession and BBQ
Thank you to all who participated in our Rosary Procession to celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary! What an incredible public witness we demonstrated of our devotion to Christ through Mary. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus for hosting a fabulous family BBQ at the end of our procession. Let us continue to pray our rosaries, especially during October, which is dedicated to the rosary. Let us offer it for peace, as Pope Leo has asked us to.

Thank You to Our Current Office Volunteers
We would also like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated volunteers, Anne Marie Reid, Debbie Ross, Michele MacPhail, and Marilyn Price, who have faithfully served at the front desk for many years. Their commitment, kindness, and hospitality have been a true blessing to our parish community, and we are so very grateful for their time, talent, and devotion to Holy Trinity Parish. While they are passing the torch in this role, we’re thankful they will continue to serve in other important ways within the parish. Please join us in warmly welcoming Doris and in expressing our gratitude to the volunteers who have served so generously.
