Christmas Octave Masses 9 am Dec 26 – 30th inclusive Dec 31 New Years Eve (no 9 am weekday mass) Solemnity of Mary Mass 4:30 pm Jan 1 New Year’s Day Solemnity of Mary Mass 10 am (livestream) Advent Family Wreath Making To help us enter the Advent Season, on Saturday, November 29th, the Knights of Columbus will be hosting a family Advent Wreath-making event in Seton Hall at St. John Vianney! The event runs from 10 am – 12 pm and light refreshments (hot dogs and hot chocolate!) will be provided. The Knights will supply the boughs for the wreaths, along with the candles to mark the weeks, but it’s recommended that families bring their own limb clippers to help make their wreath. If you’re able to make a small contribution, the Knights ask for a $10 donation per wreath to help offset costs, but the donation is not required to participate. If your family is interested in attending, please RSVP to Ernie MacIsaac (ehmisaac@ns.sympatico.ca) ASAP, letting him know how many attendees from your family will be coming, and how many wreaths you’ll want to make. Hope to see you there as we prepare to celebrate the season of Advent! Let’s Invite Everyone to Celebrate Christmas at HTP! The Sackville Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 29th, from 6–7 pm at Acadia Park on Sackville Drive is a wonderful opportunity to extend a warm invitation to our Sackville neighbours to join us for Christmas Mass at Holy Trinity. Invitation business cards are available for pickup at the Welcome Desk in the foyer. Worship Nights: Save the Dates  Here at Holy Trinity ParishOn Friday, December 5th, at 7:00 pm, we will have our first Ignite: Evening of Worship. Come for worship music and singing, a brief talk by Fr. Michael, and an opportunity to gather socially afterwards. At Saint Benedict ParishThere are also a few nights of worship we wanted to highlight at our sister Companions of the Cross Church, St. Benedict Parish:Friday, Nov 28th, at 7:00 pm, they will host Proclaim – a more contemporary worship music night. Dec 12th at 7:30 pm, an Advent Gregorian Prayer Night – traditional older chants. Let’s take opportunities to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus at Christmas through prayer! A New Musical Journey for Our Parish Community Happy New (Liturgical) Year A! This Advent, our parish will begin introducing a beautiful new Mass setting: The Mass of St. Mary Magdalene by Sarah Hart. As our community grows and welcomes many new parishioners, this is a wonderful opportunity for all of us—longtime members and newcomers alike—to learn something new together. During Advent, we will introduce small portions of the setting before Mass, giving everyone a chance to listen and grow familiar with the melodies. Then, beginning in early 2026, we will begin implementing the setting in stages during the Mass throughout the year. Feast Day Novena On December 8, we will celebrate our diocesan feast day. This special day for our diocese falls on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Archbishop Dunn will celebrate a special Mass at 7:00 pm at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, and he invites all the faithful to join him. In preparation for this important day in the life of our Archdiocese, all are encouraged to pray for our diocese through the Immaculate Conception Novena.
