| Remembrance Day – Lest We Forget On November 11, the parish office will be closed for Remembrance Day; however, the 9 am Mass will still take place. We pause to remember and give thanks for the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom. As we wear the poppy and observe a moment of silence, may we pray for all who have served and continue to serve in the Armed Forces, and for a world where justice and peace prevail. Let us also remember those who carry the wounds of war in body, mind, and spirit and entrust them to God’s healing love. Love Decorating and Creating Beautiful Spaces? Do you enjoy decorating your home, or do you have a knack for crafting and creativity? We’d love to have you on our team! We’re gathering a group to help decorate our Worship Space and foyer for the Christmas season—creating a warm, welcoming environment that helps everyone feel the beauty and peace of the season as they come to pray and worship. Whether you have an eye for design or just want to lend a helping hand, there’s a place for you! Interested? Please contact Catherine at (782) 253-0025 or at catherine@holytrinityns.ca. Ministry Spotlight At Holy Trinity Parish, we are fortunate to partner with groups like the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Beacon House, the Knights of Columbus, and the Catholic Women’s League to serve our community and further Jesus’ mission. Over the next 2 weeks, we’ll be showcasing their important work in our parish and community as we celebrate our partnership and great work accomplished. This week, we will highlight the St. Vincent de Paul and Beacon House. The mission of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Canada is to live the Gospel by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, and joy. Vincentians see Christ in those who suffer, come together as a family, maintain personal connections with the poor, and offer assistance wherever possible. In 2025, members had over 300 requests in Sackville, Beaver Bank, and Mount Uniacke, to support families with resources, groceries, and help with rent, heating, power, medical needs, and water. The annual “Be An Angel” fundraiser provides essential financial support for this work. Members also offer financial and social aid to shelter residents at Holy Trinity Parish, ensuring they receive the care and support they need.To get involved or learn more about the mission and work of St. Vincent de Paul, click here or contact members at (902) 864-0777. Beacon House’s mission, “Neighbours Helping Neighbours,” is rooted in care and compassion. They are dedicated to providing nourishment, clothing, shelter, and support to members of the community facing challenges. With the many generous donations from the Sackville area’s communities, the Beacon House Thrift Store’s profits enable the Food Bank to provide healthy food (from Feed Nova Scotia) to over 1,500 neighbours monthly. Through a partnership with the Holy Trinity Parish and with funding from the Province, the Beacon House Shelter, located in the former Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church on Metropolitan Avenue, now serves over 50 guests 24/7 who would otherwise be living rough.
