HTP Connection – March 6, 2024

Lent and Holy Week at HTP

Visit our website here, to connect with all things LENT and HOLY WEEK! You will find resources and information to guide you on your Lenten journey.

Prayers for Alpha Weekend

This Friday over 50 people from our three Alpha Courses currently running at Holy Trinity Parish have been invited to attend the Alpha Holy Spirit Weekend here at our church. Our past guests have told us that this weekend is a pivotal time in their Alpha journey. We invite you to join us in soaking this weekend in prayer for our team and our participants. Come Holy Spirit!

Time Change

Just a reminder that the clocks are “Springing Forward” this Sunday March 10, 2024 at 2:00 a.m. as we move to Daylight Savings Time. Clocks will move forward one hour (i.e. losing one hour); but good news; there will be more light in the evening.

Steubenville Information Meeting Tonight

Parents and teens are encouraged to attend this planning meeting in the Parish Hall tonight, March 6, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. where we will talk a little bit about the conference, costs, fundraising plans, and information on how to register. Please note, you do not have to be registered to attend this meeting – however it is VERY important to attend if you are interested in fundraising with us!

Youth Ministry

Join us this Sunday, March 10, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Hall for Youth Night! Every second Sunday night is Youth Night at HTP – a night filled with community, prayer, snacks, and more! All teens of the Parish are welcome to attend – no matter where you are in your faith journey! We welcome new teens anytime throughout the year. For more information about Metanoia, HTP’s Youth Ministry, check out the website here.

Stations of the Cross 4:00 p.m. this Friday

Every Friday during Lent we pray the stations of the cross in person. Note the change in time for this week only. This Friday, March 8, Stations of the Cross will be at 4:00 p.m.

Tax Receipts

Income Tax receipts are still available on the table in the church foyer. If you could pick them up over the next two weeks it would help us out greatly by saving on mailing costs. Any receipts remaining in the foyer after Palm Sunday will be mailed out.

2023 Financials and 2024 Budget

Our 2023 financial statements have been finalized and a condensed version, along with our 2024 budget, will be available after the Masses this weekend; and on our website in the next few days. A more detailed version will be available in the coming days, and in the near future our Finance Council members will be available after Masses if you have any questions. We’ll confirm the date for that in next week’s HTP Connection. Any questions that you do have can always be emailed to finance@holytrinityns.ca and we will respond to you.
