| A Note from Fr. Yves Greetings to you all, As I said at the Sunday masses, I am still around. My last mass will be Tuesday June 24th, 9 am. I want to express my profound gratitude for all the prayers and well wishes I’ve received. It is humbling to receive so much affirmation, encouragement, and loving farewells. I will miss you and pray for you. If you are ever in Ottawa, please stop by St. Mary’s Parish, 100 Young St. Love and Prayers In Christ Jesus Fr. Yves Marchildon Corpus Christi Outdoor Procession After the 11:15 am Mass on June 22nd, we will have what is called a Eucharistic Procession. This is a chance for us to walk outside (weather permitting) with the Blessed Sacrament as a public display of our faith and adoration of Jesus. During the Procession, you are invited to join in with the Priests, Deacons, and Altar Servers. If you are mobility-challenged, feel free to remain in the church and pray for us as we go out, that our public witness may bear fruit within those who see us. As the Hymn proclaims: O Sacrament Most Holy O Sacrament Divine All Praise and all thanksgiving Be every moment Thine! Confirmation Mass Sunday June 22 @ 9 am We will be celebrating the Confirmation of 17 young Catholics on Sunday, June 22, at the 9 am Mass! Archbishop Dunn will be joining us to preside at the Mass and administer the sacrament to our teens, and we look forward to welcoming him, as well as the families and guests of our Confirmandi, as we bring these young people into the fullness of the faith. In order to accommodate these Confirmation families, several pews in the center section will be reserved for these youth, their families, and guests. All are welcome to attend the Mass as usual and to join in this momentous step in their relationship with the Lord; however, please be aware that the church may feel a little fuller than usual! Ladies’ Social Hour All ladies of the parish are invited to gather for a Social Hour in Seton Hall, St. John Vianney Church, on Tuesday, June 24th at 9:45 am (after 9:00 am Mass). A time to make or renew social connections, to communicate with old friends or meet new ones, to chat and enjoy some time connecting with other members of our faith community. Come and See! Enjoy the social connection with others and consider the possibility of continuing this regularly. We look forward to seeing you. Snacks and beverages provided.
