| Welcome Fr. Michael Fr. Michael is a brand-new “baby priest,” ordained on May 24, 2025. He’s excited to move to and minister on the East Coast, to meet people, and to eat seafood, especially since he grew up on the West Coast and enjoyed fishing with his dad! He was a second-grade teacher for two years before seminary, and will likely be tempted to give you all homework at the end of his homilies. Welcome Deacon Karl Dcn. Karl Hartman, CC was ordained a deacon on June 14, 2025. He is the second youngest of six brothers. He grew up near St. Mary’s, Ontario, Canada, on a 50-acre farm where his father ran a carpentry business. Raised in a devout Catholic family, he attended Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church and served as an altar server. A personal encounter with Christ in high school stirred his interest in evangelization and the priesthood. After high school, Dcn. Karl joined NET Ministries of Canada (2013-14) as a missionary, later working in carpentry and various apostolic ministries. Introduced to the Companions of the Cross through NET, he joined the Companions of the Cross in 2016 and has been attending Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, Michigan. With one final year of studies, he will be ordained a priest in the spring of 2026. Dcn. Karl enjoys family, photography, biking, hiking, camping, and sports, like soccer and volleyball. Pray For Our Parishioners Attending LEAD Starting on Monday, three youth from Holy Trinity Parish will be attending Franciscan LEAD, a five-day retreat in Leadership Evangelization and Discipleship leading up to the Steubenville Atlantic Conference next weekend! Nathan was a Parishioner of Holy Trinity from May 2022 until joining the Seminary in August of 2023. Please join in supporting Nathan and his Vocation. Watch the Film “Permission” About the Founder of The Companions This summer, we invite everyone in our parish to take some time to watch Permission, a powerful new film from the Companions of the Cross. It’s available to stream for free on their website, which can be found Here. Permission is a compelling, Spirit-filled documentary that shares the story of the founder of the Companions, Father Bob Bedard. It shows what happens when ordinary people give the Holy Spirit permission to move in their lives in extraordinary ways. It features real stories of transformation, healing, and bold missionary discipleship that will inspire your faith.
