HTP Connection – January 31, 2024

Welcome to HTP (Holy Trinity Parish) Connection, our weekly news bulletin. Arriving in your email inbox every Wednesday, it will be your connection to important events and information from HTP. We’re excited to be able to communicate with you in this way!

Not Too Late

It’s not too late to REGISTER yourself and/or your friends for Alpha! We still accept registrations in the first few weeks of Alpha so if you have been thinking about coming, we would love to see you! Here are the various options for Winter Alpha at HTP:

Online: Tuesday evenings, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. started January 23, 2024.
In-person: Wednesday mornings, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. started January 24, 2024.
In-person: Thursday evenings, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. started January 25, 2024.
Registration and more information can be found on our website.

Alpha Online

Alpha online is a great option during the winter months. No scraping the car or shoveling the driveway, just grab a cup of coffee and curl up with your laptop and join us! It’s not too late to sign up or to invite family and friends. Online Alpha is a great way to invite our family and friends who don’t live close by. It’s a chance to spend some time together and have some great faith conversations! REGISTER

Bring in Your Old Palms

Each year we put out a basket to collect last years palms. These are burned and rendered into ashes used for Ash Wednesday. Bring out your old palms this Sunday!

Ash Wednesday Masses

Ash Wednesday is on February 14. There will be distribution of ashes at three Masses that day: 9:00 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
The 9:00 a.m. Mass will also be live streamed to our Youtube channel HERE.

2024 Donation/Giving Envelopes

Just a reminder to pick up your 2024 envelopes if you have not already done so. They are in the church foyer in front of the chapel and will be there for the next few weeks. We have reached out and contacted or left messages (or tried to!) with everyone who left their name on the list who wanted envelopes, and if you’ve spoken to someone about that, your envelopes will be labelled and on the table with the others in the foyer. If you wish to receive envelopes, please contact Stephen at the Parish Office (902-865-2112 ext. 110) or by email at If you would like more information or explore other ways of giving (online, e-transfer, automatic withdrawal, etc.), please also contact Stephen or click HERE.
