Advent Reconciliation Times
To aid in our preparation for Christ’s birth, we have added extra times to receive the sacrament of reconciliation. At Holy Trinity, it will be offered on Dec 17th, 7-8:30 pm and Dec 20th, 2:30-4:15 pm. It will also be offered at St. Benedict’s on Dec 17th, 9 am – 4 pm, and Dec 18th, 6-9 pm.
Advent Week 3 – The Joy of Christ’s Nearness
This Third Sunday of Advent, often called Gaudete Sunday, invites us to rejoice as the coming of Christ draws near. The rose candle reminds us that even in the midst of waiting, God’s joy breaks into our lives. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, may we notice the small signs of God’s goodness around us and share that joy with others. Let us rejoice in hope, trusting that the Lord is truly close at hand.

Simbang Gabi Mass
We will be celebrating Mass for Simbang Gabi here at Holy Trinity Parish on Friday, Dec 19th, at 7 pm. Simbang Gabi, also known as Misa de Gallo (Mass of the Rooster), is a cherished Filipino Catholic tradition consisting of nine early morning Masses celebrated from Dec 16-24, leading up to Christmas. This novena serves both a spiritual preparation for the birth of Christ and a profound expression of Marian devotion, honouring the Blessed Virgin Mary. Simbang Gabi remains a vibrant expression of faith, unity, and joyful anticipation of Christ’s birth. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Building Committee Report
At this time, the Buildings, Properties & Real Estate Committee would like to report to the parish on the items that have been completed, those that are in progress, and those that are being investigated. This report is on our parish website and can be found here. We would like to thank the committee members Stephen O’Quinn, Terry Toner, Mario Cote, Stephen McDonald and recently Alex Stapleton, for their work in putting these projects together, as well as Operations Coordinator Shelley Clee and her team for executing a number of the projects through to completion. If you have any questions about the report, please contact Stephen McDonald at the office or via e-mail at stephen@holytrinityns.ca.

Father Eric Theriault Christmas Gift Ministry
We are collecting new, unwrapped, unscented items to support clients—especially men, who make up the majority of recipients. Plus-size items (L and XL) for both men and women are especially appreciated. Donations will be accepted until Dec 15th.

Be an Angel Campaign
Many people live from pay cheque to pay cheque, so when they fall ill, get laid off, or family circumstances change in a hurry, they need assistance quickly. Your kind response is overwhelming, and through your donations, we are able to help people in need throughout the year. Bless you all for Being Angels from the members of our conference and the people we serve. Merry Christmas!
