Pastoral Assignments Announced
Pastoral Assignments for Halifax-Yarmouth Archdiocese were announced this past week. After serving 6 years here at Holy Trinity Parish, Fr. Yves is being asked to take on a new assignment in Ottawa. This move will take place near the end of June.
Deacon  Michael Horianopoulos CC (See Profile HERE) who will be ordained to the priesthood May 24th, is being assigned here, July 1.  
Please keep Fr. Yves in your prayers as he prepares to take on this new parish ministry assignment. He has been a wonderful blessing to Holy Trinity Parish and its parishioners. Thank you Fr. Yves! We will miss you.

Holy Week Schedule
Holy Week is a sacred period leading up to Easter Sunday, commemorating the final week of Jesus Christ’s life, his crucifixion, and resurrection. Throughout Holy Week, we engage in prayer, reflection, and acts of penance as we journey with Jesus through his final days. It’s a time of profound spiritual significance, inviting you to deepen your faith and draw closer to Jesus.
Here is our week schedule at Holy Trinity Parish 2025:

Palm Sunday: Sat, April 12 – 4:30 pm & Sun, April 13 – 9:00 am*, 11:15 am
Chrism Mass: Tue, April 15 – 12:00 pm @ Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica  5221 Spring Garden Road, Halifax.
Holy Thursday: Thu, April 17 – 7:00 pm* note: No 9:00 am mass offered that day
Family Stations of the Cross: Fri, April 18 – 10:00 am
Good Friday:Fri, April 18 – 3:00 pm* note: No 9:00 am mass offered that day

Lenten Reconciliation
Our parish reconciliation night will be Wednesday, April 9th, 7-8:30 pm. We will have three additional priests joining Fr Tim and Fr Yves for confessions that night. We will have the Blessed Sacrament exposed throughout this time, and the Knights of Columbus will be leading some devotional prayers in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus amidst periods of silence from 7-8 pm.  
Also in addition to our regular weekly reconciliation times, Fr Tim and Fr Yves will be offering confessions on Saturday, April 12th, 2:30-4:30 pm.

Steubenville Atlantic Information Meeting
All interested youth and parents are invited to attend an Information Meeting on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 5:15–6:00 pm at Holy Trinity Parish. This meeting will cover important details about registration for the Steubenville Atlantic Youth Conference and outline our updated fundraising opportunities for the year.

If you are planning to participate in fundraising, this meeting is especially important, as our projects have changed since last year.

Recruitment For The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Halifax Particular Council has been supporting people in need in Central NS since 1868. They assisted more than 11,000 persons last year with financial assistance exceeding $1.34 million.
They are recruiting for both a Vice President (acting) and Treasurer volunteer positions to continue the good work they do for the community. There is also an opportunity for a PAID Bookkeeper.
