Ministry of Care and Companionship

The Ministry of Care and Companionship will be holding its annual FALL GATHERING on Sunday afternoon, December 3rd from 2:00pm-4:30pm  in Room 9. Our theme is ‘TO SERVE’. All members and anyone wishing to learn more about this ministry are encouraged to attend. To register, please use the sign-up sheet in the church foyer.

Beacon House Christmas Box Program

Beacon House is once again seeking the support of the parish for their Christmas Box program. Last year they distributed over 500 Christmas boxes and and their goal is to replicate or exceed that number this year. Holy Trinity Parish has been asked to donate 150 cans of cranberry sauce, and we are looking to have these donated by November 30th. Please place cans for donation in the box in the church foyer. Thank you for your faithful support of Beacon House!

Be an Angel

Starting Saturday, December 2nd, our Society of Saint Vincent de Paul invites you to be an Angel to people in our community who are struggling with emergencies throughout the entire year. With the kind donations provided by our parishioners we help with the basics like power, water, rent and medications which have to be paid even when a person is ill or loses their job. Our members will be in the church lobby after each weekend mass up until Christmas to accept donations of cash, cheque or e-transfer. Tax receipts available for donations of $10 or more.

Accessibility Grant

We’re delighted to share about the recent support we received from Councilors Lisa Blackburn and Paul Russell. We have received a $5,000 grant towards the purchase of  a BrailleNote Touch Plus 32. This is an accessible device to assist Fr Tim in his everyday tasks and helping us in our community. This is part of the government’s Inclusivity In Action Initiative. It is only with the financial assistance from this grant that Fr. Tim is able to afford this technology and he is very grateful and looking forward to putting it to use.

Thanks and Goodbye

Our fifth shelter guest has moved out and into an apartment. He asked if he could share his thanks and goodbye with the parish.

I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for having me on your property and for providing gift cards weekly that kept me going. The random donations and other acts of kindness have not gone unnoticed. The first things I unpacked in my new place were all of the donated items from you folks and others. I was overwhelmed at one point and I guess one of my neighbours must have been cutting onions. I wouldn’t have any of this, not the place or necessary items if it weren’t for you wonderful folks.
Thank You to Marilyn, George, Pat, Ralph, Mario, Father Yves, Father Tim, These are the folks who I interacted with regularly.  Thank You to the entire congregation and may God bless each and every one of you.

The seasons of Advent and Christmas are a wonderful time to invite family and friends to Holy Trinity to prepare for and celebrate the birth of Jesus. Who will you invite to journey with you this Advent, beginning Dec 2nd/3rd? The Mass schedule is provided below for you to share and invite. Let’s share the warmth of our Holy Trinity community!
