Lenten Mission
Mark you calendars! We are teaming up with St Ignatius Parish in Bedford to put on a joint Lenten Parish Mission from March 27-29 at 6:30pm. The theme of this year’s mission comes from the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 11 when Jesus says “Come all who are weary and I will give you rest”. Join us to learn about what it means to receive all Jesus has to offer you in a post pandemic world. Visit our website to learn more about the exact locations and livestream options for tuning in. The first evening will be hosted at St. Ignatius Parish in Bedford and the remaining two will be hosted at Holy Trinity Parish. Anyone interested in carpooling should meet in our church parking lot and plan to depart at 6pm.
New Parishioner Event
We are holding our first New Parishioner Event on Saturday, March 25th from 10:00 am – 11:30 am in the Parish hall. This event is for all those who are thinking of joining our Parish, or who have joined since January 2020. If you plan to attend please fill out this form so we know how many people to expect!
Finance Presentation
Our Parish Finance Council will be having an in-person presentation of our 2022-2023 financial report on Sunday, March 19th, 3-4PM at the church. All are invited and encouraged to attend. The format will be a presentation followed by a time for questions; and in order to make sure we are able to provide answers to you, we encourage you to submit any questions you might think of, in advance of the meeting. You can email your questions to finance@holytrinityns.ca or call 902-865-2112 and leave your question verbally during our regular office hours Tuesday-Friday 9am-12pm. Our financial statements and 2023 budget are available on our website, as well as printed copies are in the foyer of the church. We look forward to seeing you at the presentation!
Steubenville Atlantic
Calling all high schoolers! Steubenville Atlantic is back from July 7-9, 2023 at Dalhousie University! In our ever-changing world, Jesus is the answer to the longing of our hearts for meaning, fulfillment, security, and love. This summer, join hundreds of Catholic teens (plus thousands of others who will be attending Steubenville Conferences across North America) to experience the peace of Jesus Christ, who is our refuge and never wearies of loving us. All current grade 8s through current grade 12s are invited to attend this weekend retreat with our group. Learn more by visiting this page and let us know if you are interested in attending!
Grief Support Gathering – March 15th at 7:30pm
Did you know that we host a grief support gathering here at Holy Trinity on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 7:30-9pm? It’s non-denominational, and all are welcome to attend and to bring a friend. Grief is normal, grief is hard work and grief becomes easier when shared. If you or someone you know is grieving and could use a safe place for accompaniment on the journey, then please encourage them to give this a try. Wednesday, March 15th at 7:30pm.
Time Change
Spring ahead! A friendly reminder that the clocks move forward an hour on Sunday March 12 at 2am.
