Emergency Shelter Update
One of our Emergency Shelter guests has found a new home and is moving to a 1 bedroom apartment at the end of July. They are in need of the following items: Kitchen Table, Couch, lamp, tv, Lazyboy or loveseat, towels and facecloths. If you are willing to donate any of these items please email office@holytrinityns.ca. Thank you so much for your continued support!
World Youth Day, Let’s Pray
World Youth Day (WYD) is a gathering of young people ages 18-30 from all over the world with the Pope. It is a pilgrimage, a celebration of youth, an expression of the universal Church and a powerful moment of evangelization for the world of youth. It will be held from August 2-6, in Lisbon, Portugal. 5000 young people from Canada will be joining over 1 million people for World Youth Day. One of these 5000 young people helms from our very own Praish! Janna Ballesteros spoke about her desire to share Jesus with others in her testimony on April 23rd, 2023. Now at World Youth Day she will live out this missionary call Jesus placed on her heart. Lets pray for Janna and all the young people attending World Youth Day this year!
Alpha, Who Will You Invite?
The summer is a great time to connect with family and friends. It is also a great time to ask the Lord to put someone on your heart that you can invite to our Fall Alpha starting Sept 21st. The Good News is too important to keep to ourselves; who will you invite?
Incoming Seminarian
Manas Khurana is a seminarian with the Companions Of the Cross and he will be joining us at Holy Trinity Parish this Fall for his internship year! Manas was born in New Delhi, India, in a hindu family and moved to Canada with his family in 2007. In 2013 he gave his life to Christ, was baptized in 2014, and was received in the Catholic Church in March of 2016. Soon after he was confirmed he started talking to the vocations director for the Companions Of The Cross who said that he would have to wait a couple of years. Two years later he joined the seminary! Atlantic Service Committee Summer Conference
You are invited to join the Atlantic Service Committee at the Between the Hearts Renewal Center for their summer conference in Amherst, NS on August 11-13, 2023. The conference theme is: Called to Evangelize “Spread Out Your Tent” Isaiah 54:2-3. The Keynote Speaker is Fr. Ben St. Croix, CC from Ottawa. Fr Ben serves as the spiritual director for the Ontario Charismatic Renewal Services, and a representative of CHARIS. He is a spark the Lord uses to set people’s hearts on fire! Are you a family with young children? We invite you to join us! We will have separate events/plans for your children, and an opportunity for a camping weekend, if you wish.
