Alpha starts NEXT WEEK!

Did you register yet? Have you invited a friend?

Alpha is an opportunity for people to come and explore together, in a relaxed and welcoming environment, what it means to believe in God.  Through an 11-week series of videos, small group discussions and music, we are invited to grow in community and deepen our faith journey.

In-person: Wednesday mornings, 10:00am – 12:00pm starting January 24, 2024.
In-person: Thursday evenings, 6:30pm – 8:30pm starting January 25, 2024.

First Five Gets a New Name

Thank you to all who contributed ideas. We had over 50 new name suggestions! There were many great names to choose from but we have landed on a new name:

No Weekday Masses January 18 and January 19

Just a reminder that Fr. Tim and Fr. Yves are away at the Companions of the Cross Study Days and there will not be Masses tomorrow, Thursday, January 18, and Friday, January 19 at the parish. Everything will be running as usual for the weekend Masses. See you then!

Have you Noticed Attendance is on the Rise?

As we begin 2024, we reflect back on the weekend attendance numbers. Compared to the previous year, we are seeing more people at our weekend masses. We are excited to see new families arriving and welcome everyone at Holy Trinity to join in our mission to make and equip disciples who joyfully go and invite others to Jesus!

The numbers given are average weekend attendance for each month:

*note April and December numbers reflect our Easter and Christmas Celebrations

Nightfever

Nightfever is a night of prayer where faithful young adults, standing outside of Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, offer simple invitations to people passing by to take a candle, light it inside, and offer a prayer for themselves or for someone they love. Nightfever is hosted by Young Adults of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth. Nightfever will be happening on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 7:00pm – 9:30pm at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica in Downtown Halifax. All are welcome!
