We are gearing up for the 2024-25 school year with lots of opportunities for Children and Youth to grow in their faith. All registered Faith Formation programming will open on August 26, 2024 on our website https://holytrinityns.ca/children-youth/.
IGNITE – Elementary School
IGNITE is our program for children in Grades 1-5 that brings families together to learn and share faith alongside each other through engaging activities like discussions, games, music, drama, and art. This year’s focus is on understanding the Church as our Family of Faith.
THE WAY – Middle School
THE WAY is our program for middle schoolers in Grades 6-8 that encourages them to deepen their friendship with Christ and respond to His call to follow Him. Through a variety of activities like games, videos, music, and discussions, the program helps young people take personal ownership of their faith and understand God’s love for them.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
First Reconciliation and First Communion (for children Grade 2 and up)
Preparation for these sacraments deepens our faith through understanding the saving power of Christ’s sacrifice for us, and how God’s grace comes to us in Confession and the Mass. Candidates for receiving these sacraments MUST have participated in age-appropriate faith formation programming during the 2023-2024 ministry year. Children in our Sacramental Prep program should also register for and participate in IGNITE as well.
Confirmation (for teens Grade 9 and 10)
In Confirmation, our youth prepare to give a full hearted Yes to Christ, committing to a lifelong relationship with the Lord empowered by the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Candidates for receiving this sacrament MUST have participated in age-appropriate faith formation programming during the 2023-2024 ministry year.
Metanoia Youth Ministry – High School
Metanoia Youth Ministry will be returning WEEKLY starting September 15, 2024. MYM is a community for the teenagers of Holy Trinity Parish that accompanies teens to conversion, and fosters a lifelong relationship with God. Check out all our upcoming events here: https://www.metanoiaym.ca/event-list
