| Please Pray for the Conclave As of May 7th, the College of Cardinals has gathered in conclave to elect the next pope. This is a sacred and pivotal moment in the life of the Church. We ask all parishioners to join together in prayer, invoking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that the Cardinals may be united in faith and wisdom as they choose a holy pope according to God’s will. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. May the Lord’s will be revealed during this conclave. Holy Hour May 14th On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Holy Trinity Parish will host a Holy Hour from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. All are invited to spend this sacred time in Eucharistic Adoration and silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. We will pray for our personal intentions and ask the Lord for the spiritual renewal of our parish. First Communion Mass this Sunday May 11 @ 9 am This Sunday, May 11, at the 9 am Mass, we will celebrate the First Communion of 16 young Catholics! We look forward to welcoming them, their families, and guests as we bring these young people to the Lord’s table for the first time. To accommodate these First Communion families, several pews in the center section will be reserved for these youth, their families, and guests. All are welcome to attend the Mass as usual and to join in this momentous step in their relationship with the Lord; however, please be aware that the church may feel a little fuller than usual! Save the Date for our Changemakers Event We would like to celebrate and invite all those who serve at the parish to attend our 2nd Annual Changemakers BBQ Event in the Parish Hall on June 12, 5:30 – 8 pm. Happy Mother’s Day! This weekend, we joyfully honour and give thanks to all mothers with us and those who have gone before us for their love, sacrifices, and nurturing hearts. We especially entrust all mothers to the care and intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, the model of perfect maternal love. May God bless all mothers with grace, strength, and joy today and always. News from our Catholic Women’s League The CWL would like to thank many from the parish and staff for their support this past weekend in helping make our Annual CWL Convention held in the parish hall a roaring success. The CWL is pleased to once again sponsor the Birthright campaign starting this weekend and running until May 25th. Birthright is an organization dedicated to providing love, friendship, and support to women who are dealing with the challenges of unplanned pregnancy. A cradle will be available in the church foyer for donations of baby items. Thank you for your support. May 9th, tomorrow, our 12-hrs of prayer for Hospice and Palliative Care, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm in the chapel/church. Please see last week’s Connection for details of how and when to join our CWL members in prayer for an increase in palliative care services as part of the long-term care plan for those who are approaching end-of-life circumstances.
